About the site
Set within 16.5 acres of peaceful ancient woodland and wildflower meadows on the historic site of an 18th century watermill, this site offers guests a tranquil escape to the countryside. This eco-conscious site is a great base for those keen to explore Pembrokeshire's stunning coastline while enjoying the beauty of the natural world! Enjoy the open spaces and wildlife and get back to nature. You're welcome to explore the ancient woodland surrounding the site and enjoy a private campfire in your own slice of the pretty Pembrokeshire countryside. The site is family friendly, with woodland slides, rope swings and a babbling brook for the little ones. The site features 15 spacious and level grass pitches, each one carefully carved out into the wildflower meadow and surrounded by woodland. The pitches all include a private eco-toilet, hot gas shower, timber shelter with picnic bench, preparation space and a private campfire area. Five of these are suitable for tents, roof tents and trailer tents, while the other ten are also suitable for campervans, caravans and motorhomes. They all have the option of 16 amp electric hook up and their own hardstanding space for parking. Guests can enjoy woodland walks, relax around the fire, or browse the onsite honesty shop, which is stocked with everything from Welsh cakes and ice creams to eco-friendly toiletries. Fresh pastries and bread can be ordered and delivered to your pitch in the mornings. With Freshwater West just a ten minute drive away and a host of breathtaking beaches nearby, this is a great spot for exploring Pembrokeshire's stunning coastline. The area is dotted with coastal towns and villages, full of character, independent shops and dog friendly places to eat and explore. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you and guests can enjoy a campfire with free firewood available from the wood store.
